The Scorpio SCR35PL wide-format digital label finishing system is a precision machine that will take an uncut roll of printed labels and process them through to the finished product.
The SCR35PL can work with label material from 4 inches to 14 inches wide and cut a label up to 13 inches wide. This makes it particularly compatible with a digital label press such as the iSys Label Apex 1290 which can print media up to 12.9 inches wide.
Once the printed label media is loaded into the Scorpio SCR35PL digital label finishing system, it may be laminated for durability. Then the labels are digitally cut using the knives into the desired shape and the surrounding waste material is peeled away and removed.
If labels are printed multiple times across the width of the roll, or labels for different products are printed in adjacent columns, the SCR35PL can slit the material into separate strips that are one label wide. This model can be fitted with up to 13 slitting blades to produce strips as narrow as 0.75 inches.
Finally, the Scorpio SCR35PL will rewind the labels tightly onto cores so they are ready to be put onto a label applicator or label dispenser so that they can be applied to the product.
