Priced at $549, the Xerox WorkCentre 6515/DN uses LED laser technology and black, cyan, magenta, and yellow toner cartridges. High capacity toner cartridges yield 2,500 ISO pages for color and up to 5,000 ISO pages for black.

With a print print resolution of 2400 dpi, the Xerox WorkCentre 6515/DN does a commendable job at producing color business documents and is intended for groups of 2 to 7 people with a recommend page volume of up to 4,000 pages each month.

As far as print speed goes, the Xerox WorkCentre 6515/DN can reach up to 30 ISO pages per minute. This is after warming up. Thus, the first page doesn’t come out for at least 7.4 seconds (black) and 8.7 (color). The Epson WF-C5790, which is based on Epson PrecisionCore Heat-Free Technology, does not need to warm up, giving it a head start on printing.

Epson WF-C5790 Heat-Free Inkjet Printer — $299 (Standard) or $899 (Supertank)

The standard Epson WF-C5790 business inkjet printer costs less than the Xerox WorkCentre 6515/DN and has a similar feature set. The Epson WF-C5790 is also intended for small workgroups and has a recommended monthly print volume of up to 2,500 pages.

It stands out with a print resolution of up to 4,800 dpi, resulting in professional quality output that rivals a print shop. It uses Epson PrecisionCore Heat-Free Technology and Replaceable Ink Pack System ink packs with page yields of up to 10,000 pages.

The Supertank version ($899) includes two years of ink in the box. The Supertank ink is a $922.10 value that includes a set of starter packs, 3 black T902XXL packs, and 9 color T902XL packs (3 of each color). The Supertank model is an outstanding value that’s like buying the ink and getting the printer for free.

With a print speed of 24 ISO pages per minute, the Epson WF-C5790 is extremely fast for an inkjet printer, but slightly slower than the Xerox WorkCentre 6515/DN. However, since it does not need to warm up, it keeps up with the faster Xerox WorkCentre 6515/DN.
