Printheads
One of the most important components of a thermal label printer is the printhead. The thermal printhead creates the text, images, and barcodes on your labels. For direct thermal printers, the heated printhead reacts with specially formulated thermal paper. For thermal transfer label printers, the heated printhead melts the wax- or resin-based inks on the thermal transfer ribbon, which are then transferred to the media.
